Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – European Premiere
In 1977 in a galaxy not so far, far away a pivotal moment in movie history happened, Star Wars: A New Hope hyperdrived onto the big screen. The adventures of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leah and Han Solo as the rising rebellion fighting to liberate the galaxy against the Imperial Army and the Dark Side captured the imagination of millions and affection for the film grew at lightspeed. Over 40 years the force by the fan base has remained so strong that it would make Yoda and Obi-Wan proud.
As technology evolved and with themes that have remained faithful to the original films, Star Wars has evolved and been given a 21st Century touch, the final instalment Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker will conclude the series of stories originally brought to us by George Lucas.
On Wednesday 18th December Leicester Square was transformed as fans and stars all joined forces to celebrate the final episode in the Star Wars saga in spectacular style. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker received its European premiere, hosted by Cineworld.
So it was only fitting that Premiere Scene’s Claire Bueno and Mike Jonas swapped their Lightsaber for their trusty microphone to interview Warwick Davis (Wicket W. Warrick), Naomi Ackie (Jannah), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Hassan Taj (R2D2), Callum Greene (Executive Producer), Chris Terrio (Screenwriter) who were all in attendance to walk the red carpet.
“It's often referred to as the Star Wars family, the Lucas film family and I feel very luck to be a part of that." - Warrick Davis
