There will have been many of us who would have tuned into the BBC chilling and very creepy The Girl Before adapted from the J.P. Delaney of the same name. The show celebrates two female protagonists driving the story as well as a female director helming the whole series. The casting is sublime; Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo are utterly mesmerizing and just a joy to watch. Jessica Plummer and Ben Hardy must also be commended demonstrating acting at its best.
I was fortunate enough to be invited by the Royal Television Society (RTS) to interview leading lady Gugu Mbatha-Raw and director Lisa Brühlmann about the making of the show and how the mini-series delicately deals with sensitive themes such as rape and still birth.
